Sports Premium

We believe that every child should have the opportunity to be active and so Physical Education (PE) plays an important part in their journey with us.

In 2013, following on from the Olympics, the government department of Education, Health, Culture, Media and Sports announced they would be providing additional funding, called Sports Premium, to improve provision of PE and sport in primary schools. This funding is allocated directly to primary school Head Teachers and, while it is ring fenced for sport and PE provision, schools do have the freedom to choose how it is spent on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children.

We are committed to using the Sports Premium money to leave a legacy of providing children with high quality teaching, opportunities to try a variety of sports, the ability to take on leadership roles and the ability to participate in both internal and external competitions.
