Hiring our Facilities
It is the wish of the Governors that the maximum use of the facilities of the school, outside normal working hours, should be made available to the widest possible extent to approved public and private bodies and organisations. Should you wish to rent one of our halls, fields or playgrounds, the kitchen or a classroom, please contact the school office.
To view the full Lettings Policy, please refer to the Policies Page.
The charges for letting consist of three elements: room hire, staffing costs and an administration charge. The charges have all been adopted using Surrey guidelines. Where the hirer does not have their own insurance cover, the school will charge an insurance supplement of 15% of the cost of the let.
The following letting rates apply:
Any let that benefits St. Martin’s pupils, during term time, not including weekends
- £10.00 per session (plus 15% admin costs).
£10.00 per classroom per hour and £110 per day (plus 15% admin costs plus cleaning costs if required).
£25.00 per hall per hour and £110 per day (ie. 8am until 5pm).
£15.00 per hour for use of school field (additional charge for toilet facilities £10 per hour).
Charges for other letting will be as agreed by the Governing Body.
These will be nil if the Letting occurs during normal school opening hours from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday during term time. However, cleaning costs will be levied if and when appropriate. If Lettings occur outside of normal school hours then the Site Manager is entitled to overtime payments at time and a half to open and close the schools as well as 0.2 hours for opening the schools out of hours. This cost plus10% to cover national insurance will be recharged to the lessee.
There will be an additional administration charge; the rate depends on who is letting the premises as follows:
Charity - 10% of the total letting charge
Community/commercial organisations - 15% of the total letting charge
Other functions - at the discretion of the Executive Head Teacher/Governors.
