Infant Learning Animals
In Early Years and Key Stage 1 we use our ‘Learning Animals’ to support our children as learners. The animals were developed by us to encourage our younger children to learn about their own learning strengths and areas they find more challenging. The idea is that the children develop the transferable skills that support them as life-long learners.
Successful learners exhibit the behaviours below and, through identifying and articulating the observable behaviours the children will understand themselves as learners. So when your child comes home and says they have been a ‘Brave Branley’ it means they have been courageous in some way, perhaps taken a risk or spoken clearly and audibly when talking to the whole class.
