How do you show your love for others?
What can you do today to show love to other people?

Genesis 1:27

How can I behave responsibly today?
Who relies on me to act responsibly?

What helps people to be courageous?
How have you shown courage today?

Provision for children who are self isolating

We have created isolation packs for each year group to enable children to continue with their learning whilst at home. All activities are optional, but are designed to provide structure and focus for each day. Activities are planned by our teachers, based on either the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum or National Curriculum.  We have planned activities for 10 school days, based on current government guidance regarding self-isolation.  On the first day of isolation, complete the given activities for day 1. Continue each day for the duration of absence.

Please do not worry if your child becomes stuck and you cannot explain it to them. All children find elements of learning challenging at times.  Do not hesitate to contact your child’s year group team via the year group email address if you do have a question or concern or if you do not have access to a printer as we will then provide paperwork copies of the relevant sections of the pack.

Be kind to yourselves. We know that isolation is not easy. Please remember that, even when at home, you are an invaluable part of our school community and we are here to support you through challenging as well as happy times. Take care!

Please click on the relevant year group below to access your isolation pack

Year 6
You and your child can access Year 6 isolation provision by logging into Google Classroom and joining the 'Year 6 Isolator Classroom'. Your child will have the login details in their Learning Diary. You will see that the Classroom has been organised by date (most recent first). Please ask your child to start on their first day of absence so that they can follow the sequence of lessons correctly. The PowerPoints and worksheets (where appropriate) for each lesson taught have been provided. If your child undertakes the lessons for each day, they will be working alongside us in class.
Please note that Year 6 are trailing this format this half term. As a result of this, there is no Isolation Pack available for Year 6 on the 'St. Martin's Isolator Remote Learning Classroom'.

What will happen if a 'bubble' closes?

  • We are pleased to announce that we will now be providing Home Learning through Google Classroom.

Your child has been provided with their Google Classroom login details. These can be found within the Learning Diary. Each child will have access to the ‘St. Martin’s Isolator Remote Learning Classroom’ plus their ‘Year Group Classroom’.

  • Should your child need support in gaining access to remote learning at home please watch Miss Groves  in this video for how to log on or watch her in this video which explains how to join a classroom.  Alternatively follow this step by step guide on how to log into Google Classroom or how to join a classroom

  • Click on the icon below or search for Google Classroom on your search engine to access this classroom.
